Connecting you with Australian culture online
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a way to receive content 'feeds' from the Portal news pages and updates to other pages. When you subscribe to the Portal's RSS feed, new stories and updates are automatically delivered to you the moment they are published.
To read news feeds you need an RSS reader. You can find a reader by googling 'RSS feed readers' in your browser. If you use Mozilla Firefox 2 or Internet Explorer 7, which include RSS readers, then left-click on the icon below to subscribe. The Portal will be checking the availability of readers for Mac users shortly.
For users with other browsers, right click on the icon below, and select 'Copy Shortcut' or 'Copy Link Location' to copy the location (URL) of the service. Paste this location into the appropriate channel of your news reader by following the instructions of that application.
If you can see this message, you are probably not seeing this site in the way it was designed. This site uses cascading style sheets (CSS2) to control the way in which elements are displayed on the page.
You will still be able to access everything in this site, but we do recommend you upgrade your browser to a more recent, standards compliant, browser.
