SCOPE (Securing Career Opportunities and Professional Employment) is a professional development program providing career and professional development support services to Australia's professional dance, physical theatre and circus sectors. A helpful resource of the program is the SCOPE 'Artists domain' Intranet. This is intended to be the place to network, share ideas and promote work. A place to upload images, film and sound recordings, to be kept up to date with industry professional development and employment opportunities. SCOPE is an independent arts organisation, funded by the Australia Council for the Arts.

The Australia Dancing portal, hosted by the National Library of Australia, provides users with access to current and historical information about dance in Australia. It describes dance research materials held by the National Library of Australia, the National Film and Sound Archive, and other selected institutions. Some of this material is directly accessible in digital formats, such as digitised pictures. Some information is available as electronic finding aids, such as online descriptions of the contents of manuscript and ephemera collections. Progressively more material is being made available in these ways. The directory service is supplemented by other pages enabling discovery, location and access to information about dance in Australia.

The Australia Project is asking Australian creatives and the general public to engage in a national debate regarding the current status of contemporary Australian culture. Debate is encouraged through the following initiatives: Creative Voices, with prominent Australian artists invited to creatively interpret the Australia Project Brief; workshops, conducted in a diverse range of communities throughout each state and territory in Australia; Visions, in which the team is actively interviewing and documenting the opinions of the general Australian public.

The National Library of Australia's Australian Newspapers service allows online access to historic Australian newspapers. These out-of-copyright newspapers have been digitised as part of the ongoing Australian Newspapers Digitisation Program. The free online service enables full-text searching of newspaper articles, and includes newspapers published in each state and territory from the 1800s to the mid-1950s. To date over 1 million pages, which contain over 10 million articles, are publicly available. There will be 40 million articles available by 2011.

The National Film and Sound Archives' Australian Screen website has been redesigned and expanded and now encompasses nearly 1400 Australian film and television titles from the last 110 years, providing clips, curator's notes and additional information. The site is now more interactive, with many places for site visitors to contribute to the website. New features include interviews with filmmakers, regular news items, games, a green room, filmmaker comments and portraits. This material is freely available online for educational users and the general public.

Careersindesign is a new, online careers resource for the Australasian architecture and design community, listing current jobs from the fields of architecture, design, and interiors.

The gateway launched as part of the Revealing the Arts conference. It will link communities of artists and arts audiences with one another. All arts programs and stories from ABC TV, News, Radio and Online will be available as video or audio podcasts. A weekly newsletter will point people to the site's new features and stories.

Over the past three years more than twenty five Tasmanian Aboriginal women have journeyed together across the island in a determined process of cultural retrieval. The impetus for the tayenebe project was the desire to reconnect with the cultural craft of Ancestors. Thirty seven Tasmanian Aboriginal woven-twined baskets, created during the 1800s from lily, iris, sedges and rushes, that survive in museums internationally, particularly inspired these makers. The website showcases the unique connections that Tasmanian women have with the land and the sea.

Minister Garrett has launched a National Cultural Policy web forum to encourage Australians to contribute to the development of a national cultural policy. This public consultation process complements a formal 'Creative Australia Advisory Group', 12 people nominated by the Minister in December 2008 to encourage dialogue between the government and the Australian arts and culture community.

Architectural Product News presents: new products and services, product applications, industry news and events, and professional practice information for architects, interior designers, building designers and other building industry specifiers. Architectural Product News is published 6 times a year and is endorsed by the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and the Australian Institute of Architects.

The Melting Pot is a social network designed to encourage collaboration and development within the emerging sector of the Australian Screen Industry: e.g. a writer looking for a producer, a producer looking for equipment, a director searching for a team. Registration on the Melting Pot allows individuals to post projects, network, and exchange ideas.

The Now and Then website uses wiki technology to enable communities to share information about their cultural heritage. The Collections Council of Australia has worked in partnership with the Mallala and Districts Historical Committee in regional South Australia to develop this community heritage wiki. Learn about the places, people, events, organisations and things that represent Mallala's history and heritage. visitors can also add their own information, including memories of Mallala.

The ArtsYakka website is an online community arts resource, with practical tools and templates, information and ideas exchange. The website is a Queensland Arts Council (QAC) initiative, made possible through the Australian Government's Regional Arts Fund (RAF).

Craft Australia has launched its biennial national on-line forum right way - the future of indigenous craft and design. The forum discussions examine Indigenous design education led by Alison Page, ethical engagement led by Kevin Murray and authenticity for Indigenous designs led by Trish Barnard. The online forum title came from the Selling Yarns conference held at the National Museum of Australia, March 2009 and the extensive interest that was generated around the issues of sustainability, ethical craft and design practice.

The Australian Design Unit is an on-line newsroom and tool kit for design businesses. Tools at hand include sample distribution agreements, licensing agreements, manufacturing agreements and many other handy resources to explore. The creative entrepreneur section is updated monthly from a wide range of local and international sources. The ADU news room is a comprehensive source of career opportunities for Australian designers updated monthly. Supported by the Australia Council and AusIndustry.

Art Month Sydney is an initiative to celebrate the importance and diversity of the Sydney art world. From 1–30 March 2010, commercial art galleries, auction houses, public museums and institutions will unite to stage free artists' talks, lectures, exhibitions, social events and tours, raising the profile of Sydney as a centre of fine, visual and contemporary art.
